Via a slight detour, spent together in Swedish Lapland working as an outdoor husky guide (Carlos) and as an outdoor activity guide (Fleur), we landed back in Spain. During the long winter months in Sweden we have talked loads about our dreams and desires and that’s how we formed the idea of wanting to both live in Asturias, as creating a business in hospitality. A combination of our personal interests, the extensive building experience from Carlos and the extensive experience in hospitality from Fleur, made us aware what greatness we could achieve together!
While spending the summer working in the area of Pria, our dreams started to take serious shape. We have spent a lot of our spare time exploring the surroundings, enjoying the abundance of nature, visiting different towns and different properties and feel the ambiance.
Once we saw the building that we are now intending to buy, we were immediately interested. We took the car and took a look at the town, Pravia, the property from the outside, walked around and enjoyed our evening having dinner and feeling the atmosphere around. We arranged a viewing for the next week and as soon as we stepped in, we loved it and knew, this is it. After checking out absolutely every corner inside, we went for a walk right behind the house, immediately in the forest. We even came across two deers! We used the walk to let everything sink in and share our thoughts. It was obvious to us that there was a lot of work to do, however, the authentic details, the location, the beautiful green surroundings and the ocean just a stone-throw away… together with our willingness to make this work, we are convinced we are able to pull this off and create fantastic holiday apartments.
